Lodging

We recommend that our students live with a Guatemalan host family while studying. PLFM can make lodging arrangements for you. PLFM host families in Antigua are all within walking distance of the school and offer full room and board (except Sunday) . Couples, families, or students who may wish to live with the same host family should make arrangements through PLFM in advance of arrival. Those who prefer to lodge in hotels, pensions, or a private home or apartment may contact us for help with these alternate arrangements. Upon arrival, PLFM can provide transport from the Guatemala City airport to your host family, if arranged beforehand.

You may choose to live with a Guatemalan family in Antigua. All families are within walking distance of the school, have been carefully screened and are constantly evaluated. The accommodations are modest and simple, but each student has his own room. All meals (except on Sundays) are included. Please see Fees and Registration area for costs. Arrangements can be made for families and couples. Most students arrive on Sunday, but if you need to arrive earlier, you will just pay for the additional homestay days on a pro-rated basis.

If you prefer a guaranteed private bath and a higher level of comfort, it is best to have us arrange rooms with private baths in Bed & Breakfast accommodations. All include breakfast and prices are per week.
